April 18, 2007 - Day 3

Day 3 – April 18, 2007

Good Morning. Really, good early morning.

Now I am still sleepy but I had to wake myself up because the boys wanted to go jogging. Goodness. Jogging. Shucks, I haven’t even done that ever in my entire life. I’m that lazy. LOL~~ But oh well, I had to join them because i feels awkward not to join them.

This morning, we saw the sunrise. Hmm... i seldom see the sun rise. Because I wake up late in the morning. But seeing it now makes me want to wake up early in the morning every day.

Especially when the person you care about is sitting beside you, holding your hand. We are now sitting on the porch outside their cottage.

Meg: Eric?

Eric: Yes?

Meg: Hmm... nothing. I just wanted to hear myself saying your name.

He smiles and kisses my cheek.

Eric: Thank you.

Meg: For what?

Eric: For everything.

After the watching the sunrise, we jogged for 30 minutes. It was fun... the salty air in the early morning really boosts your energy. :) As we were walking back to the cottage, we saw some kids making sandcastles. They look really amazing. So we took some pictures with the sandcastles. We gave some coins to the kids and took lots of pics. YEY!!!

After lots of pics, we return to the cottage and later on found a restaurant where we can eat breakfast. Now, we are eating pancakes and bacon.

Kamusta naman yun?! Di pa nga kumakain ng almusal, hapunan na ang pinag-uusapan! Hindi rin mahilig kumain ang mga tao, no? XD

The boys want us cook. Goodness. Yaya talaga ang effect nito! HAHA. Well, they want to buy food from the market and cook it for dinner. They have the weirdest ideas. Oh well, since they asked for it. We will go to the market later.

With our tummies full of bacon fat and sugar-loaded syrup, we walk out and find something to keep ourselves busy with. Eveyrone seems hyper. Junjin kneels down and motions Gab to his back. Piggyback!!! HAHA. (Hmm... How does it feel to be tall, Gab? LOL. XD ) Andy is jumping around while Angel follows, laughing at him. (Hindi ka sanay no, Angel? :) ) Dongwan as always is taking pictures of everyone especially Nerie. LOL. ( Pagod ka na ba sa kaka-pose, dear?) Hyesung and Rhanie is singing soemthing I don't know. It's not a Shinhwa song, it's not Hyesung's song. But it's lively enough to bring the wonderful sunshine up a notch. ( Di ba kayo napapaos ni Hyesung, Rhanie? hehe. ) Minwoo tries to dance as Kate keeps him from moving too much. I hear Kate says, "Minwoo! What the hell are you doing? Do you want to suffer from appendicitis?!" HAHA. Minwoo just laughed at her. Well, Eric is all giddy right now. First, he wanted to do the piggyback ride like Gab and Junjin did. I was like, " Eric, are you kidding me?" He said, " No... I want to carry you on my back...." I said, " No, not now." *POUTS* HAHA. He looks so so cute. Looks like a little boy. Sometimes I find it hard to talk to him because he's a lot taller than me. But it's all good, we adjust. We leave ample space between us so that I don't have to look up and he doesn't have to bow his head just so we can talk to each other. :) Anyway, he's just... hmm... what can you call it? Naughty? Makulit at maharot kumabaga. Because he tried to carry me like he was going to kidnap me. Like a sack. Shiet. I kept on smacking his back and told him to put me down. But he just laughed. Nag-eenjoy ka pa ah... I was slumped on his back for about a minute or two. My face touching his bare skin because he's just wearing a white wifebeater.

The others were looking and laughing at us already. People are now staring. Maybe they think it is too early in the morning for this. HAHA. "Okay... okay. Just put me down," I said. Hay. This guy, you can't resist him sometimes... I mean... most of the time? Hehe.

So now, I am on his back, enjoying the height like Gab. :) I now know what it feels to be a little taller.

And did i tell you he smells really good? XD

Now, we see some guys setting up some parachutes for parasailing. HAHA. All of us gets excited since it's a first for everyone. Actually, I was excited because i have waited for a long time for an adventurous ride like this. Well, I would have loved doing bungee jumping first, but I thought this is not bad either. Hehe.

Everyone had their moment in this adventure.

Junjin and Gab were doing the wiggy while up there. HAHA. They looked so cute! When Gab sang I believe I can fly, Angel laughed because she said it was so Ice Age 2. I can’t relate because I didn’t watch that. Hehe. Angel is afraid of heights but she seems to have overcome it because Andy was there with her. To ease her fear, Andy even kissed her hand. All of us down were shouting, “You guys are so cute!!!!” Fan service! (Andy, you learned this from Minwoo hyung huh?) Minwoo was dancing on air. LOL. It looked funny to me. How can you dance on air? My goodness, Minwoo. Contain yourself, man! The Samsoonie pose he did with Kate is just adorable. <333
Rhanie and Hyesung were looking down either looking for crabs or more burger places. HAHA. They looked so funny pointing at the sea and counting the crabs with their fingers. As if they can see them. LOL. Nerie looked like she was enjoying? Hmm… I don’t know. She was jumping around. I don’t know if she’s scared or excited. I know she’s afraid of heights also. Eric and I... hmm... I told you I was excited right? But when i saw that we were just going to be tied in a harness. I got a little scared. E pano kung mapatid yun? Shet. Masakit bumagsak sa dagat nang ganun. Aray. I look at the ropes that they were tying around my waist. Wag kang mapapatid, okay? "Are you scared, Meg?" Eric asked. Was I that obvious? "Hmm... yeah. A little," I replied. "Don't worry, we'll be okay." He winked and smiled.

The engine of the speedboat started and soon, we were up the sky. HAHA. I was laughing the whole time. Well, I don't know, call me crazy but I was so happy. One, I am flying. The feeling when you're up there is indescribable. Two, Eric kept on laughing too. (Nahawa lang ako. XD) I don't why... he was speaking something in Korean... I didn't understand. Three, ... hmm... nothing... I am just happy. Just as it is.

So now, here I am buying Shrimp Pizza with Eric. Yes, we are going to eat again. Morning snack. HAHA. It's a good thing we saw this pizzeria. Because I am craving for something seafood. I am now siting in a chair near the entrance. Eric's getting the pizza and paying for it now. I said I wanna pay for this. But he insisted. E alam niyo naman ako, hindi ako tumatanggi sa grasya. Hehe. :)

While waiting, I thought I saw a familiar face. A group of people pass by and suddenly, the person's gone. Did I just hallucinate?

"Meg? Come on, dear. Let's bring this back to the guys. I am starving," Eric said, carrying 2 big boxes of pizza. "Okay, let's go." I said, ignoring the thought.

After filling our stomachs with Shrimp Pizza and burgers (c/o Hyesung and Rhanie), Minwoo, Kate, Gab and Junjin is now out getting a volleyball. They want to play beach volleyball. Goodness. I am not good at volleyball. The last time I played was in high school P.E. And that was almost 6 years ago. So good luck to me and my team.

We lost. HAHA. It's not suprising because we lack men. We are with Junjin and Eric but still, Kate and Angel had Dongwan, Andy and Minwoo on their side.

Rhanie and Hyesung are now under some coconut trees... they didn't join us because they're afraid of the sun. LOL. Are you guys vampires? XD The rest of us are now resting...under the shade of coconut trees because the summer sun burned our skin while playing volleyball.

Suddenly, I see Dongwan running towards the shore... because he is chased by Angel. Then Minwoo follows them and calms Angel down. Angel is going ballistic.

Meg: Minwoo, what happened to Angel?

Minwoo: Angel said Dongwan read her journal entries in her laptop. That's why she went crazy. Wait, I'll follow her to the cottage.

Dongwan. You're one nosy person, do you know that? Hay.

Afternoon came, we just had lunch. We are so tired that we decided to just take a nap.

ZZZZ.....

2 p.m. All the girls are out of the room. And so are the boys. Kate and Gab brought out the junk food we bought in Manila. What do we have? Hmmm.... Ridges, V-cut, Oishi Prawn Cracker, Fish Crackers, Kropek... yes, we bought that much chips. HAHA. The boys thought that Kropek was weird. Because I went back to red Coconut and when I came back, I was carrying two bowls of vinegar.

Junjin: What is that for?

Meg: Sawsawan... Dip. Iroke... *sabay sawsaw ng kropek sa suka*

He laughed because I tried to speak in Korean. ( Iroke means "Ganito...")

He tried it. Did he like it? HAHA. I won't tell.

After munching all the junk, the beach looks inviting again.

Meg: Tara, let's swim!!!!

Kate: Sige!!!!

Kate and I strip off our top and shorts. Minwoo and Eric are just beside us. Imagine their reactions. LOL. Kate and I look at each other and laugh. We were both in two-piece. "Come on," we told Minwoo and Eric and the others. Kate had to drag Minwoo to the beach... na-shock ata... LOL. XD Eric is in the same state. HAHA. I just laugh and leave him alone sitting there. Bahala ka dyan… I run towards the water. I see the others running like there's no tomorrow. HAHA. Ang saya. Then, I felt a pair of arms wrapped around my waist. "How can you leave me there..." he whispers to my ear, laughing softly. "I know you'll follow... you can't resist me..." I tell him, laughing. He throws me into the water. "Yah... ERIC!!!!!!!!!!!!" And the laughter echoes as everyone else enjoy the sun, the water and the sun. :)

Nerie and I are just going back to the guys carrying some food when we see Eric and Dongwan arguing with Angel and Gab. We can hear them from afar.

Angel: They’re just here somewhere… don’t worry.

Gab: Yeah, maybe they just went around for a while. Di lang naman kayo ang buhay nun.

Then, Dongwan and Eric see us.

Eric: Where did you girls go?

HAHA. I pity this guy. He worries too much.

Meg: Nerie and I looked around for some cakes. Why?

Dongwan: And you didn’t even tell anyone?

Nerie: Angel saw us… and as if we’d get lost or something. Here’s your blueberry cheesecake. *gives the half-eaten cake to Dongwan*

Dongwan: Why is it half already?

Nerie: I ate it. It’s good. Try it.

HAHA. These two are so funny. They’re okay now. Dongwan’s happily eating what’s left of the cake while Nerie gives the others their food.

Eric: So what did you bring me?

Meg: Nothing. Did you want some?

Eric’s eyes widen then suddenly, his face goes poker. Blank. Nada.

HAHA. I burst out laughing. I’m so bad.

Meg: Of course I bought you something dear. Here. *gives the brown bag to Eric*

Eric brings out the cheesecake. Strawberry cheesecake.

Meg: You like it?

Eric: Yeah. But I like blueberry better.

Meg: Oops… my bad. Sorry, next time, I’ll remember you like blueberry. Just like your sister, Nerie.

Eric: It’s okay. Come on, let’s eat it. I’m sure it’s just as good. And oh…

Meg: Yes?

Eric: Do you have water?

XD

Kamusta naman yun?!

Meg: Uhmm… I’ll get you water, wait.

As I walk to the cottage, I can’t help but laugh.

It’s almost time for dinner. But as planned, we are going to the market first to buy something to cook. We want the boys to ride the tricycle. It was an interesting idea at first. But when it comes to a point where you have to fit Junjin and Eric in a tricycle, that’s another story.

E paano mo naman pagkakasyahin ang dalawang iyon sa isang tricycle di ba? Tapos, ako pa, si Angel pa, si Andy pa at si Gab pa! Diyos ko. Sakit ng ulo ko!!!

It’s a good thing we found a special tricycle just for foreigners. Minwoo and Dongwan were laughing because they had a pretty good time. They were short. So it was a pretty good ride for them. :)

Okay, here’s the plan. We will cook Tuna and Basil with Pasta. And since the boys are here, we might as well do Galbi or Korean BBQ ribs. We are lucky that there are lots of Koreans here so finding the bean paste we need will not be that hard. So here’s the assignment:

Rhanie, Hyesung, Junjin, Gab, Minwoo and Kate will buy the penne pasta and the veggies needed. Like basil, garlic, onions, pepper and lettuce.

Angel, Andy, Nerie, Dongwan, Eric and I will find some fresh tuna and beef. We’ll try to sneak into the Korean grocery as well. I hope the boys don’t get recognized. Lord, please.

“We should all be back at this place in 1 hour okay?” I told the boys and girls.

One hour has passed. I double check all the ingredients before we head home. Beef. Check. Tuna. Check. Korean condiments. Check. Veggies. Check. Ok, we are good. We head home.

Since I am O.C. and all, I had to ask everyone what they wanted to do. Nerie and Kate volunteered to do the dishes later. Minwoo and Dongwan will dry them. Rhanie and Hyesung will set the table. Angel helped me do the chopping and cooking. Andy is washing the veggies. Junjin and Gab, well, they told us they were going to buy some soda and ice because we forgot to buy from the market. And Eric, well, he’s supervising. LOL. He’s just damn nosy. He keeps on telling Angel and Andy and the others who’s helping to do it right or else they will ruin my cooking.

Meg: Eric! Can you just sit down here and help me cut the meat? Please… :)

I wink at the others. O ayan, tatahimik na yan.

Eric nods and sits beside me.

After a few minutes, his phone rings. He answers it. He speaks Korean. I don’t understand. Then, he excuses himself and goes out. The boys look at each other. Hmmm… I smell something fishy.

When we were about to grill the meat, I realized that we don’t have a griller in the private kitchen. So I told them I’ll go out and borrow from Red Coconut.

Nerie: Unnie, sama ako…

Angel: Ako rin!

So we go to the reception area.

Meg: Ate, meron ba kayong ihawan diyan na pwede naming hiramin?

Receptionist: Oo, meron dyan sa likod.

Meg: Sige ate. Kami na lang kukuha. Busy kayo e. Salamat.

So we go to the back of the cottages. Suddenly, we hear some people speaking in Korean. Okay, so we are damn nosy as well, we look at who they are. It’s already dark so it’s hard to recognize the two. But I recognize the voice. It’s Eric.

And the other one’s Park Shi Yeon.

Angel: Pucha! Anong ginagawa niyan dito?! *shouts*

Nerie: Fuck! Bakit kausap niya si Kuya?

At dahil maingay sila, nakita kami ni Eric.

Meg: Tara na uy… kunin na natin yung ihawan. Bahala sila diyan. Baka nakakaistorbo tayo. *starts to walk out and drags the girls with her*

Eric: Meg, wait…

Meg: Lakad lang, Angel at Nerie. Huwag kayong hihinto…

He grabs my arm and turns me around.

Meg: Yeah?

She follows him. Now she’s in front of me as well. Man, this girl is tall. Talo ako dito kapag nagkasabunutan.

Eric: She’s Meg. And that’s Nerie and Angel.

She looks at me from head to toe. Then starts speaking in Korean again. Shet. Magsama-sama nga kayong mga Koreano! Di ko kayo maintindihan!

Eric argues with her for a few minutes, without letting go of my hand.

Eric: Come on, let’s go. *motions us to walk away leaving the girl behind*

Hay nako. Ano ba ‘tong pinasok ko?!

Eric squeezes my hand and says, “ Trust me on this okay?”

Meg: Okay.

May magagawa pa ba ako? Hay.

After almost 2 hours, all the dishes are finally done. How was it done? Well, Junjin and Gab grilled the galbi when they returned. Hyesung and Rhanie fixed the table. (It looked really nice by the way.) Dongwan and Nerie fixed the drinks while Minwoo and Kate dried the lettuce and placed it on the table together with the other condiments. Because Angel is the only one who can cook here aside from me, she helped me cook the pasta. Since Eric and Andy are doing nothing, we asked them to put on aprons and help us. They are the official “tagapasa ng susunod na ingredient”. LOL. So that’s it. With all those combined equals two dishes. Galbi and Tuna and Basil with pasta. Kainan na!!!

Remember the soda I was telling you a while ago? Well, it had its purpose. The reenactment of the Shinhwa Coke commercial. Goodness. With just a pop, everyone else went crazy. Junjin! It’s your fault. HAHA. But it was doubly fun seeing them do it with your own two eyes. Dongwan even asked one of the crew members to capture it on video. My goodness, imagine someone taking a video of us just laughing and having fun… weird. Parang Banjun drama. XD

Now, the dishes are washed. And the girls head to the room. The boys ask us to just stay there and wait for us. We are such obedient girls so we just sat there to rest. Man, this day is tiring. Kapagod magluto.

After a while, the boys enter the room. They have brought some stuff. For some, a lot of stuff. LOL.

Gifts. It’s too early for gifts…

Eric sits me and gives me a bunch of Erica’s pics. With him. LOL. Shucks. This is embarrassing man! HAHA. But in fairness, they look so adorable. My angel looks good with her daddy. Hehe. “Look Meg, she is looking more like you now…” Eric says. I laugh and smack his arm. “Don’t kid me like that…” I tell him. “I’m not kidding dear…” He answers, pinching my nose. Then, the bunch of orange roses he was holding, he puts it on my lap. “Sorry my queen, I couldn’t find carnations here so I just bought these.” Aww… “These are wonderful, Eric. Don’t worry, I love flowers in general so any will do. Thank you.” I kiss his cheek and hug him. “Don’t worry. You’ll receive flowers every day from now on,” he says as he hugs me back. “Hold on, there’s one more.” He gets the box near his feet and gives it to me. I opened it to find Eric’s perfume. I open it and smell it. Shet. It’s Eric. And it has a HERS. My eyes are now hot with tears. I hug Eric again. Tightly. I am kind of speechless so I just whisper THANK YOU to his ears. “You’re most welcome, dear.”

Sorry because after Eric approached me, everything went blurry. Andy even approached me and gave me Eric’s shirt. I think I wasn’t even able to thank him properly. I was in a daze. So the gifts of the other girls I was only able to learn when we were about to sleep. Nerie got a bunch of their kids’ pics as well as sweet potato’s. And the tiara’s she’s wearing now, she got from Eric. The others I’d have to check on them tomorrow since some are sleeping now. I am fixing my stuff, I’m separating the dirty clothes and putting it on another plastic bag. Then, I hear a knock on the door. Nerie gets it.

Nerie: Unnie, si Kuya hinahanap ka.

Meg: Ah ganun? Late na ah…

Nerie: Sandali lang daw.

I leave my stuff and goes out to see him. Man, it’s cold.

Eric: Hey…

Meg: Hmm… aren’t you cold? You’re just wearing that. *points at his sando*

Eric: Nah… it’s okay.

Meg: So what did you call me for?

“This…”

then he lightly kisses my lips.

“I wanted to do that for days now.”

I just stared at him.

“Good night, my queen.”

Then he left me standing there, stunned.

I felt my lips.

Ha? Ano raw yun?

Shet.

Good night, my king.
