Day 1 – April 16, 2007 Part 2
Finally, we arrive at Katiklan. Fresh air greets me as I go down the plane. It feels really good to get out of Manila once in a while. We are already downstairs chatting when I saw Junjin with the rest of the guys. The boys look sleepy as they go down the plane last. Junjin tries to wake Eric up because he is walking really slowly with his eyes closed. He taps Eric’s cheek, arm and even shakes his hand. Haha. That’s a sight to see. But he was unsuccessful. Then, Junjin suddenly sings “MEG – APASS YO!” - with a great emphasis on the first syllable. That did it. He smiles and bursts into laughter. He looks so so cute, I tell you. Hehe. Everyone else starts laughing too. As if on cue, Angel suddenly pushes me to Eric. Man, that girl is really strong. But Eric is stronger. He catches my small frame in his arms. I give her a dagger look. She gives me a peace sign. This is embarrassing. Eric stifled a soft laugh. “Wow, you’re really light, Meg. Are you all right?” I replied, “Yeah, I’m good. Sorry again about that. I’ll kill Angel later.” He laughs again as we join the others to the ticket booth.
Boracay Island is very beautiful. But before we can reach the island itself, we need to ride a boat. So Angel, with the help of Andy’s convincing powers, bought us tickets for the boat ride. We got two boats – one for us with the boys and another one for the crew.
Everyone marveled at the sight of the island from afar. I just hope there are not much people around. It is usually packed with people this time of the year. But as I see the boys get excited as they touch the waters, OH WHAT THE HELL. We’ll enjoy this vacation no matter what.
Dongwan brings out his camera and the rest follows. CLICK, CLICK, CLICK. Camwhores, anyone? LOL. We all are. Eric and Dongwan motions everyone for a group shot and everyone went to their side. The boat almost tips over. HAHAHA. We now hear the man in charge of the banca shouting at us. But that doesn’t stop us from taking MORE pictures. Angel and I posed in front of Eric’s cam. RICDY LOVE, MAN!!! We took a shot of the siblings Eric and Nerie. Dongwan takes a picture of Minwoo and Kate making a heart together. I took a shot of Hyesung and Rhanie in a crab dance pose. I see Angel taking a picture of Junjin and Gab doing the wiggy. So cute!!! Then, I see Angel and Andy taking a picture on their own. I snatch the camera from Andy’s hand and said, “My goodness, there are 10 of us here willing to take a good picture of you two! So ask someone else to do it so you can pose better okay? Smile!” CLICK. I return Andy’s camera and walk to the other side when I hear Angel shout, “Thanks, Meg!” No problem Angel. Hehe. Of course, everyone is in a camwhoring mood so I will not let this chance go. I sit beside Eric and call Gab to take a picture of us. But she’s busy; everyone’s busy. MAN! I volunteer to take a picture of Angel and Andy then no one even wants to take a picture of Eric and me. TSK, TSK. “It’s okay, Meg. Come on, I’ll just hold my camera,” Eric said as he pulls me closer. CLICK.
Hmmm. . . . He smells good. I love his smell. CLICK. CLICK. AND MORE CLICKS. Then we see everyone taking a picture of us. “Hay nako, it’s too late guys,” I told them, laughing. “Isn’t that too early for now, Eric?” Minwoo said. Eric glares at him. What’s up with that?
After the 20-minute boat ride, we finally arrive at Station 2. I easily recognize the place since we stayed here the last time I was here in Boracay. And that was 5 years ago. It’s nice to be back. Hehe. As we go down the banca, the crew went ahead to the cottage to avoid more curious stares that we are having right now. Minwoo and Angel went down first, then followed by Junjin and Rhanie, Hyesung and Gab, Kate and Dongwan, Eric and Nerie, and Andy and myself. The crew had to go back to the banca to get more of the stuff. They are kind enough to carry some of our stuff and bring them to our cottage. Thanks to them. ^^)
Red Coconut. That’s the name of the place we are staying. Hmm... Not bad. It looks way nicer than the one we stayed in before. I see Angel almost jumping up and down as she enters the reception area. I wonder why. Finally, we get our cottages - one for us, one for the boys and 3 more for the crew. At last we enter our room. I’m dead tired and the rest of the girls look tired too. As we all sit down on the bed, a loud scream escaped our widely-opened jaws. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! That is long overdue. Then Minwoo suddenly barges in. “What happened? What’s wrong? Are you guys alright?” He asked. We look at each other, not knowing what to say when suddenly Angel says, “Kuya M, a cockroach passed by right there.” She points a spot at the back of the door. Minwoo buys it and tells us that she will ask the staff to check our room later. When he closed the door, Gab starts to laugh. “Bumenta yun?” Nerie said, laughing. “Engot talaga ni Minwoo,” I said. Then we all laugh. While we are unpacking, a staff knocks and brings us 6 orders of sandwich, thanks to Minwoo. Really, thanks to him because I am really starving. I guess everyone is hungry too as they grab one sandwich as soon as the staff put it down the table. After the last bite, Gab and Rhanie goes back unpacking their stuff and putting them in the cabinets. Angel goes to shower first and the rest follows after her. At around 9 am, Dongwan knocks on the door, surprising everyone. “We’ll wait for you guys outside, okay?” He said. “Okay,” we said in unison.
In less than five minutes, the other girls are out. Wearing a pink tank top and board shorts, I take a good look at myself in the mirror and follow them outside. Everyone was wearing shorts. Even Rhanie. Hehe. Then Angel tugs my top saying, “Meg, look at Eric, he’s so HOT.” “I know,” I said. HAHA. Well, that was an understatement. He looks striking in a gray wifebeater and white board shorts. Very simple, but DAMN he look hella good.
We decide to go to Red Coconut’s restaurant for breakfast because other restaurants are still close this early. Angel knows the owner and talks to her for a while. HAHA. The rest of us are guided to our seats. But Andy stays with Angel. Sweet huh? Now, we are in front of the table. I look at Nerie. Nerie looks at Rhanie. Rhanie looks at Gab and Kate looks at me. Shet. How’s the seating arrangement going to be? “I’ll sit beside Gab,” Junjin says and goes to Gab’s side. “Then, I’ll sit with Meg.” Eric said. “Rhanie, wanna sit together?” Hyesung asks Rhanie. Rhanie nods. “Okay Nerie, we will sit together,” Dongwan says. “Kate stays with me, of course,” Minwoo said. We all sit down and leave 2 chairs for Andy and Angel.
After the light breakfast, the boys decide to go back to their cottage and sleep. As we are about to enter our cottage to rest, Gab asked, “Do you guys really want to sleep?” “Oo nga, saying naman yung araw. Ang ganda pa naman o,” I tell them. “Sige, I’ll get our cameras. Camwhore na lang ulit tayo!” Rhanie says. In just a few minutes, Kate and Rhanie take pictures of the beach, sand, coconut trees, and of course, us. Hehe. As Gab and Angel take a picture of Shinhwa’s cottage (WHAT THE HELL, RIGHT? LOL~), I sit beside Nerie.
Meg: First day pa lang Nerie. Nag-sink in na ba sayo?
Nerie: Oo naman. Actually, weird pa rin isipin e. Pero kapag nakikita ko na sila sa harapan ko, ayun na yun e.
Meg: Ako rin. Nakurot ko pa nga sarili ko kanina dahil hindi ako makapaniwala. *sighs*
Nerie: Unnie, kamusta raw si Kuya?
Meg: Ha? What do you mean?
Nerie: Uhm... hindi ba siya malungkot or something?
Meg: Sign of a heartbroken?
Nerie: Yeah.
Meg: Ewan ko sa kanya. It’s been half a year since they had reportedly broken up. He looks solemn. Ngumingiti naman. May eyebags pa rin siya. Well, 'di na ata mawawala yun. Overall, mukha naming okay. May mga moments nga lang na spaced out siya kanina.
Nerie: Ah...that’s good. At least may ngiti.
We now see Junjin and Minwoo come out of their cottage. It looks like they did not sleep as well. Eric, Hyesung, Dongwan and Andy also come out of the room. Junjin and Andy sit on the swing. Minwoo and Hyesung join Rhanie, Gab, Angel, and Kate in taking pictures. I break into a smile and look at Nerie. She holds my hand, as we watch Dongwan and Eric sitting on the patio and enjoying the sunshine. It looks like the boys are having fun with the little recognition they are having right now.
Sige lang, enjoy lang. Minsan lang yan.
12 noon. Our stomachs are grumbling. We eat lunch at Red Coconut again but it’s not free this time. To our surprise, after the meal, the waiters serve us halo-halo. FOR FREE. YEY! The boys tell us that they have this kind of dessert in Korea as well. If I am not mistaken, Heejin and Henry ate this dessert in My Name is Kim Sam Soon. (If you’re a fan of the drama, you should remember. LOL~)
Hyesung: This is a better version of that because it has more toppings. Yumyum~~
Rhanie: Goodness Hyesung, that’s why you never slim down. You eat too much. HAHAHAHA ~~~~~

Okay. We go back to our cottage. We need to sleep. It’s 2:00 p.m. We plan to swim around 4:00 p.m. so we have at least two hours to sleep.
4:00 p.m. *cuckoo cuckoo*
Everyone wears their swimsuits. HAHA. Now’s the time to wear the orange Billabong two-piece I was eyeing in Rustan’s for almost a year. HAHA. I finally bought it a day before this trip. LOL. Kate goes to the other cottage to check on the boys. She comes back telling us that they are still sleeping but Eric stirred and told her that he'd wake the others up. Angel has this thought that Minwoo will say at least a word on what we are wearing right now. HAHA~
I thought of not wearing anything but my two-piece and just put on a crochet dress on top. But everyone’s being conservative and wore shorts and a sleeveless shirt on top of their swimsuits. I don’t wanna feel out of place so I scratched the idea. Hehe.
4:45 p.m. We go outside and see the boys coming out as well. Angel was right. Within 5 seconds of seeing us, Minwoo exclaims, “SHEKSHIE!” HAHA. We all laughed our heads off. Typical Minwoo. Sheesh.
We walk towards the water. There weren’t much people in the water since most of them were preparing themselves to go clubbing later on. The boys take off their shirts and start running towards the water. My brain freezes.
Shet. Ang sakit ng ulo ko. Pucha, tama ba yan?! Maghubad ng walang warning man lang. HAHA.
The boys motion us to follow them. My god! Who can resist?! LOL~ The water is slightly warm. It feels good to be wet and enjoy the beach. But seeing the boys having so much fun feels so much better.
Minwoo keeps on chasing whoever splashes him with water. And that’s practically everyone, but Kate is the person he targets the most. Poor Kate. HAHA. Dongwan and Junjin are having a swimming competition. Whoever reaches Nerie or Gab first wins. Rhanie tries to make Hyesung sing in the water – Regine Velasquez style. Can he do it? LOL~ Andy and Angel tries to learn how to swim properly. From who? From each other. Naku, e di pareho kayong malulunod niyan! LOL~ I try to teach them but they keep on laughing. This is their moment, so I decide to leave them alone.
I love observing people. And that people includes Eric. As I go ashore to dry myself while others are still enjoying, I see him sitting on the sand. Looking lost... I mean, it looks like he is in deep thought. I don’t want to bother him so I just sit from afar, looking at him. I close my eyes and thinks about the day that has passed. It’s been almost 24 hours of no proper sleep except for the nap before the swim.
Grabe. Tunay ba ‘to? Well, I’ve decided to believe that this is true. But I can’t help but think of the things that will happen next. Natatakot ako. After this, then what? Siyempre matatapos din naman ‘to. Back to work, I guess? Hay.
Pero namnamin mo na muna, Meg. May 6 days pa. Medyo matagal pa yun. Hmmm... I feel relaxed and warm inside despite the slight wind that just blew. This feels good after all.
“Hey there, pretty.” I hear someone said. I slowly open my eyes. I see Eric kneeling in front of me. He looks at me with such loving eyes. The man with perfect facial structure. Even his weird nose I learned to love. I close my eyes again. Preserve that facial expression in your memory Meg. You may never see it again. I smile and I open my eyes again. He’s gone.
Did I imagine just that?
Well, maybe I just did imagine that. Hehe. At least, I can imagine pretty well. Felt real to me. LOL~

She didn’t. Eric walks away before she can even open her eyes. “Damn, why did I just do that?” Eric said.

I see the rest drying themselves up. It’s nearly 8 so we decide to go back to the cottage and take a shower first before dinner. Goodness, it’s a good thing we had separate cottages or else there will be nonstop noise all in one room. Before we even enter the cottage, all of us are shouting here and there. Just saying random things. Gosh, if you’re with boys in general, things can get really crazy. Hehe.
After the dinner at Red Coconut, we walk around Station 2. I hear some Koreans talking as we pass by a shop. It’s a good thing that it’s already dark. Or else, it would have been easy to spot the boys. Whew. We are now near Coco Mangas. Angel wanted to dance. I swear this girl doesn’t seem to get tired at all. But all were tired so we walk back to the cottage.
After what seemed forever, I finally see our cottage after a long walk back. I see everyone saying their good nights. Minwoo is a really nice guy. Well, maybe he’s too nice to girls because he gives all the girls a kiss on the cheek. HAHA. Who would be able to refuse him? Even I gladly gave in to his charms.
Then, Eric hugs me. ..... the feeling is beyond words. When I felt his touch, it felt like the whole day replayed in my mind – from the first meeting to the picture-taking to the “so-called” loving gaze. In awe, I hug him back. *Sigh.* Then, he says, “Good night..." and as he lets go of me, he gently whispers, "... My Queen."
WHAT THE HELL?! My QUEEN? How did he know that?

It’s been almost 24 hours of no proper sleep except for the nap before the swim.
Grabe. Tunay ba ‘to? Well, I’ve decided to believe that this is true. But I can’t help but think of the things that will happen next. Natatakot ako. After this, then what? Siyempre matatapos din naman ‘to. Back to work, I guess? Hay.
Pero namnamin mo na muna, Meg. May 6 days pa. Medyo matagal pa yun. Hmmm... I feel relaxed and warm inside despite the slight wind that just blew. This feels good after all.
“Hey there, pretty.” I hear someone said. I slowly open my eyes. I see Eric kneeling in front of me. He looks at me with such loving eyes. The man with perfect facial structure. Even his weird nose I learned to love. I close my eyes again. Preserve that facial expression in your memory Meg. You may never see it again. I smile and I open my eyes again. He’s gone.
Did I imagine just that?
Well, maybe I just did imagine that. Hehe. At least, I can imagine pretty well. Felt real to me. LOL~

She didn’t. Eric walks away before she can even open her eyes. “Damn, why did I just do that?” Eric said.

I see the rest drying themselves up. It’s nearly 8 so we decide to go back to the cottage and take a shower first before dinner. Goodness, it’s a good thing we had separate cottages or else there will be nonstop noise all in one room. Before we even enter the cottage, all of us are shouting here and there. Just saying random things. Gosh, if you’re with boys in general, things can get really crazy. Hehe.
After the dinner at Red Coconut, we walk around Station 2. I hear some Koreans talking as we pass by a shop. It’s a good thing that it’s already dark. Or else, it would have been easy to spot the boys. Whew. We are now near Coco Mangas. Angel wanted to dance. I swear this girl doesn’t seem to get tired at all. But all were tired so we walk back to the cottage.
After what seemed forever, I finally see our cottage after a long walk back. I see everyone saying their good nights. Minwoo is a really nice guy. Well, maybe he’s too nice to girls because he gives all the girls a kiss on the cheek. HAHA. Who would be able to refuse him? Even I gladly gave in to his charms.
Then, Eric hugs me. ..... the feeling is beyond words. When I felt his touch, it felt like the whole day replayed in my mind – from the first meeting to the picture-taking to the “so-called” loving gaze. In awe, I hug him back. *Sigh.* Then, he says, “Good night..." and as he lets go of me, he gently whispers, "... My Queen."
WHAT THE HELL?! My QUEEN? How did he know that?
Pucha, first day pa lang ah... ano naman kaya bukas?
Gosh. I’m tired. I need sleep.
